  Service sucks totally! I ordered a package via amazon. The guy came to deliver the package at 2:15 and found nobody, according to the note he left on the door, however there was a person waiting for him that did not hear any bell ringing at my place. Since I was traveling out of state later that day and needed the package that very day, I called at 3pm to UPS 0800 number to schedule a on-site pickup, the operator said it was possible to pick up the package today and that they were going to call me within an hour to schedule when I can pass by. They did not call. I called again at 5pm and they told me: "yes, it is ready to be picked up in the store, sorry nobody called you". I went to the store (half an hour drive) only to be told at the UPS location that they do not have the package and that the truck that has my package would only return at 9pm.
  
  The worse was the conversation I had there:
  
  They told me "you should call back to the receptionist and yell at her, because it is not her, but us, who should tell you when to come. By the way, we close at 9pm so there is a 50-50 chance you wont get it today. You know the truck driver, Jhon, he just wants to deliver all the packages and go home. He wont be returning to the store before visiting all of the addresses he has to.". I said: "He left a note at my door, but did not ring the bell... ". The guy at the store replied: "Yes, he probably knock very softly. You know, sometimes delivery men are filling this little note while they are knocking.". Of course I felt mocked by this service, but understood that was not the fault of they guy at the store. I went to the UPS web page to try to file a complain only to find out that there are no option for this (other than to complain about a damaged package, which was not the case). I have the feeling that these guys do a bad job knowing that they have total impunity (I talked to some other people in Stony Brook and they have had also bad experiences with UPS Farmingville).
  
  After that I called UPS 800 number again at 6:20pm, they assured me that the package was going to be ready for pick up today and that I will get a phone call within the hour. Again it did not happened.
  
  I called again at 8pm and after 40 minutes of taking to the phone with a representative who tried to contact the facility at Farmingville and could not get it, he concluded that it was too late already to be picked up today and that I will receive a phone call tomorrow about it. So I was ready to file a complain right there, but the representative told me that I can only complain to the supervisor of Farmingville when he would call me tomorrow. The most corrupt system they have mounted!
  
  I could not be more disappointed with the UPS service at Farmingville. If they are so overwhelmed with packages, should not UPS open another store closer to Stony Brook with all the money that they collect from customers like me? Even though I cannot complain to UPS. I leave this post here so that people know about this horrible service.
